The Pesadiellu is one of many frightening beings said to cause nightmares. This creature is said to press down on its victims chest, suffocating them in their sleep.
It has no consistent form. Some stories describe it as a large hairy hand and give it the name ‘La Manona’, while others describe it as a large, horned, goat. The stories are all in agreement, however, that the creature is the cause of night terrors.
